(60%) Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, retaining, supervising, and evaluating staff for the Fitness Center and group fitness.Develops and publishes program policies, guidelines, and risk management of campus fitness and wellness activities.Work with Fitness and Wellness staff to develop short- and long-term goals, coordinate special events, revise departmental policies and procedures, enhance student development, and interact with other campus entities.Adheres to and ensures compliance with the protection and confidentiality of student records and information, as outlined in the Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act.Maintains responsibility for the management of equipment and supplies.Maintains compliance with all industry standardsComplete routine facility inspections and auditsManage technology software for fitness and wellness which includes membership management and facilities scheduling and reservations.Supervise the racquetball courts, PODS, aerobics studio, game room, rock climbing, and outdoor challenge course.Manages programming. (30%) Develop, implement, publicize and evaluate various programs, including wellness initiatives, group fitness, and wellness excursions.Support the Intramural and Outdoor Recreation Coordinator by collaborating on the execution of Intramural seasons and specialized events.Collaborate with campus departments on departmental and university events.Maintains programming spaces for groups with reservations.Add and remove offerings based on program feedback and local/national trends.Work in collaboration with Fitness and Wellness Staff, Student Affairs staff and university partners to support department initiatives within the mission of a student-centered facility, programs and services.Schedule and administer a diverse offering of outdoor trips, clinics, and programs for the university community.Crises Response.
