Maintenance Tech 1-2nd Shift
Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing routine industrial maintenance. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems. Assist with electrical troubleshooting and installation as required. Must assist in maintaining PM systems. Specify and/or repair parts for equipment as required. Must have the ability to weld and fabricate simple fixtures and jigs. Perform other related tasks as directed by maintenance supervisor and/or lead.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete maintenance work orders in a timely manner
Must be able to use basic inspection equipment such as calipers, mics, torque wrenches and various gauges and other tools.
Ensure quality in every task preformed
Perform PM as assigned
Uses stop the line authority at any sign of safety or quality concerns
Performs daily duties per standards
Completes all maintenance work order data collection as established
Must perform daily 5S activities
Qualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be able to read blueprints
Must have good understanding of inventory control
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Must have or be able to obtain a fork truck license
Must recognize the importance of working in a safe manner
Ability to understand what constitutes quality products
Possess basic math skills
Average or above average skills in numeric and visual recall
Must be computer literate
Must pass Maintenance skill and qualification test
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Experience Requirements
Industrial maintenance experience.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures
