Accounting Manager

We are a growing $60M+ multi-divisional apparel company in Orange County, CA area, seeking a reliable, hands-on, energetic, detailed oriented Accounting ManagerManaging a three-person accounting staff, the Accounting Manager will report to the CFO and have the authority and responsibility for critical aspects of the Company’s accounting operations, required governmental filings, financial systems, internal and external financial reporting, and the implementation of related key internal controls. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable, friendly, hard-working, show self-starting initiative and not be distracted by the fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The candidate must be a team player who is hands-on, willing to roll up their sleeves and get involved with the daily details on a regular basis.Responsibilities include but not limited to monitoring all accounting activities by performing the following duties personally or through supervision of accounting and other departmental staff:Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and taxes.Execute financial closing tasks, including the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and in-depth analyses.Responsible for preparation and accuracy of the financial statements to include - Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting.Cash management functions, including daily cash reporting and weekly cash flow forecasting.Prepare sales tax and workers’ comp filings.Support finance and executive management in creating spreadsheets, providing audit data, and preparing special reports as assigned.Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure alignment and support for financial goals and objectives.Assist with internal(inventory) & external audits from various agencies- banks, government, year-end.Requirements:Related accounting experience of 3 – 5 years in manufacturing preferredBachelor's degree in accounting, or finance preferred.Proficiency in financial reporting and report development including financial performance analysis, forecasting and budget preparation.Strong business communication skills verbal and written.Strong computer skills in Microsoft SuiteAbility to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain confidentiality.Being detailed oriented, organized, and multi-tasked is essential to your success.
