The Senior Specialist, Payroll is responsible for providing accurate and timely payroll processing, data entry, legal filings, and reporting for all Exyte offices. Payrolls include union, non-union, contract, and salaried and hourly employees.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
Inputs various payroll related entries into the HR system and Payroll system
Reconciles payroll prior to transmission and validates confirmed reports
Prepares pay checks for delivery via FedEx to all locations
Liaisons between all offices regarding payroll related issues concerning both union and non-union payroll
Processes various monthly and weekly reports (or as requested)
Trouble shoots employee timecard issues and submissions weekly
Processes new hire documents
Reviews completed documents
Processes Personal Change Notices (PCN)
Inputs data into HR modules
Maintains files and records
Filing as required
Processes termination notices and checks
Assists in processing labor and payroll
Other duties as assigned
Availability to respond and take action to emails after work hours and on weekends as needed.
Show your expertise
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
3+ years of experience
Payroll processing experience
Working knowledge of payroll best practices
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
Strong PC skills including advanced Excel
Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate with various levels of management
Ability to multi-task in a fast working environment
Knowledge of Oracle required
Knowledge of SAP preferred
Knowledge of Alight Payroll a plus
