You will lead the design, development, implementation, and toolchain of a high-performance host-side driver stack layering industry standard graphics and compute APIs on top of our proprietary API for our RISC-V GPU architecture.What You'll DoLead the development of a high-performance host-side driver stack layering industry standard graphics and compute APIs such as Vulkan, OpenGL, OpenCL, & SYCL on top of our proprietary API for our RISC-V GPU architectureUse and contribute to open-source initiatives such as Mesa Coordinate with the GPU Driver team to implement functionality required by industry standard APIs within our proprietary GPU driverParticipate in Khronos and other industry standards groups to develop standards extensions that benefit our GPURun test suites such as Khronos CTS to evaluate our conformance to industry standardsDevelop a toolchain for development, optimization, and debuggingQualifications8+ years industry experience with graphics and compute developmentBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldDeep understanding of modern GPU APIs such as Vulkan, Metal, DirectX, CUDA, and SYCLExtensive experience developing GPU graphics and compute applications and writing graphics and compute shadersStrong proficiency in C/C++ programmingExperience with code analysis, IR (LLVM, MLIR, ISPC), and LLVM and GCC internalsDemonstrated ability to ship high-quality production softwareExperience with technical leadershipPreferred QualificationsExperience with the open-source Mesa frameworkUnderstanding and experience with RISC-V and vector processorsExperience co-designing hardware architecturesUnderstanding of path and ray tracingCompensation Range: $175,000–$250,000 per year (California).
