About the Organization Our company was incorporated in 1984 within the State of North Carolina, and opened its doors for business in August of 1985. The company has continually grown to a point where we currently serve more than 600 individuals, and employ more than 1000 people across the state. Skill Creations is a human services agency that operates three service divisions. The ICF Division provides specialized long-term residential care to 191 individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in 15 different towns in North Carolina. The Community Operations Division provides residential and non-residential services to persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in their home community. The Child Development Division, with two locations in Goldsboro, provides high quality child care and preschool for children ages birth - 5 years. One center also offers after school care through age 12. Description Amazing Opportunity for Career Advancement - ICF Facility Director -Rocky Mount SCI is seeking a Facility Director for Skill Creations, Inc of Rocky Mount, NC. This position serves as the lead administrator in 2 6-bed 24-hour residential facility. A major focus of the Director is to ensure all needs of the individuals residing in the facility are being met as outlined in the Person Centered Plan. This is accomplished by providing supervision to Direct Support Professional employees, dietary employees and administrative assistants. Additionally, the Director oversees and manages the physical building/grounds, vehicles and specialized equipment. Knowledge of all requirements of regulatory agencies, state standards, SCI procedures, etc. is essential to assure individuals receive quality care, appropriate training and live in a healthy and safe environment. This is a 24 -hour facility, so applicant must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule that at times, includes early morning and evenings; occasional weekend activities/events at the facility. The director is expected to be present to serve as disaster chief in times of adverse weather or other emergencies. An On-Call rotation is a requirement of the position; situations may arise where the Director must be available by phone or in person 24/7. Starting Salary is $53,000 (negotiable depending on degree and/or relevant experience). ***Full Time Employees are eligible for an employer sponsored health, dental, vision and life insurance program, paid time off, holidays and 401K retirement. Position Requirements Requirements The following are required for all applicants in order to be selected for the position: • 4 year degree preferred; other education with administrative experience could be considered • Clinical knowledge of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities • Valid driver's license • Ability to drive company vehicles (3 yrs. Driving experience, driving record that meets our insurability standards) • Working personal phone. • Computer skills are needed for e-mails, operating/ utilizing electronic health records, electronic training modules and entering/recording data. • High level of verbal and written communication skills • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
