In this role, you will assist the COE in developing a strategic vision for the area, lead the quality engineers, and execute priorities to support the vision through project leadership, mentorship, technical expertise, and tactical execution.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategic vision for product and process quality across cells and centers of excellencePartner with cell leadership to establish and execute a robust audit planMentor and coach manufacturing and quality engineers on quality systems and process improvementLead efforts to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and improve operational performanceDrive simplification and reporting solutions to improve response time and issue resolutionLead cross-functional engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts to improve first-pass yieldOwn the quality and technical framework to ensure CTQ and compliance requirements are metLead customer resolution activities and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA)Develop and sustain training on manufacturing processes and quality systemsMaintain process documentation and promote best-practice sharing across the organizationProvide advanced quality engineering support for new products, processes, and technologiesReport performance, risks, and progress to senior business leadershipOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing or similar industry experience8+ years of experience in production processes and equipmentExperience in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering in a technical or industrial environmentKnowledge of preventive quality tools, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodsExperience implementing lean manufacturing principlesStrong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skillsStrong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDeep technical expertise and understanding of underlying principles and methodologiesDesired CharacteristicsExperience in automotive and/or aerospace industriesDeep understanding of Lean principles and the Toyota Production SystemExperience leading small teamsProven ability to improve processes, reduce defects, and drive accountabilityExperience building training programs and developing technical talentThe base pay range for this position is $104,600.00 - 174,400.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
