QC Technician PCI Level III The QC Technician is responsible for testing concrete materials, plastic concrete, concrete strength specimens, reading shop cards, conducting pre-pour and post-pour inspections, running lab equipment, and hydraulic stress jacks and maintaining accurate records. To assure that manufacturing is casting product that meets PCI tolerances. Check paperwork and shop tickets to assure they are organized properly. Complete pre-pour and post-pour inspections in the QC APP. Record any product deficiencies in Concrete Vision and send out Repair Details to the job coordinator. (if applicable) Inspect basic welds for size and quality. Inspect rebar for grade, steel type, and bend diameters. Mark finished product with cast date, mark number, and job number. Check for complete accuracy of finished product in accordance with job plans. Assign and place appropriate PCI dot code on product as needed. Test aggregates. Test concrete (Conventional and SCC). Conduct concrete strength tests. Conduct pre-pour and post pour inspections. Run or use all quality control equipment. Perform simple low voltage electronic wiring for test equipment. Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations. Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
