Job Description
(Prichard, AL): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Warehouseperson to support warehouse and distribution operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products in a safe and efficient manner.Essential DutiesReceive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products.Read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine material handling priorities.Move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations.Sort and organize inventory on racks, shelves, or bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.Pull and stage materials, tools, and stock items for production personnel or assembly lines.Assemble customer orders and prepare items for shipping or packing.Label and mark materials with identifying information.Open and unpack crates, bales, and containers as needed.Record quantities of materials received, distributed, or shipped.Weigh and count inventory to ensure compliance with company standards.Arrange stock components in designated sequences for production or assembly.Utilize inventory software and computer systems to maintain records and enter data.Prepare worksheets, tickets, requisitions, and shipping documentation.Package and prepare parcels for mailing or shipment.Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse records.Follow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.Perform additional duties as assigned.Requirements / SkillsHigh school diploma or GED required.Minimum of one (1) year of warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred.Ability to read and interpret instructions, correspondence, and shipping documents.Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Experience using inventory management software and basic computer systems.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational demands.Dependable attendance and punctuality required.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand, walk, reach, handle materials, and use hands and arms throughout the workday.Frequently required to sit, climb, or balance.Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with proper equipment or assistance.Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and varying outdoor weather conditions.Ability to work in moderate noise-level environments.Equal Opportunity Statement:Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
