Responsibilities The Staff Perfusionist is responsible for operation of extra-corporal equipment providing care and/or support activities appropriate for all ages served. Duties include cardiopulmonary bypass, auto transfusion, intra aortic balloon pump counter pulsation, stand-by support, short and long term ventricular assist, and other related assignments deemed necessary to support Perfusion Services. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited perfusion program Credentialed by the CMC Medical Staff Office as an Allied Health Professional and privileged to perform Perfusionist standardized procedures CPP - Current certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification required Disclaimers • Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change. • If any bonuses are noted, they are only applicable to external hires meeting criteria.
