Job Description OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Bather to join our team. In this role, you will oversee 2-3 bathers, provide high-quality bathing services in a fast-paced environment, perform front desk check-in and check-out tasks, and ensure cleaning duties are completed at the end of each day. Experience trimming paw pads, sanitary areas, and eyebrows is a PLUS!ResponsibilitiesBathe, blow dry, brush, trim/grind nails of dogs according to their specific needs and breed standards.Expressing anal glands externally.Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during the bathing process.Handle dogs and other pets with care, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools to ensure a hygienic environment.Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs.Assist in the care of animals by monitoring their behavior and health during grooming sessions.Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including laundry, heavy lifting of larger animals or equipment.RequirementsMust be available to work Tuesday through Saturday2 years of experience as a dog bather in face pace environment bathing 12-15 dogs per dayBackground in veterinary technician, kennel technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus.Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and tools is beneficial.Knowledge of animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions.Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.Previous experience in kennel settings or pet sitting is advantageous.
