A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: - Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - Two positions available with immediate start - Every other weekend requirement - No on-call responsibilities - No floating requirement - Nurse to patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients - Care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and patients on ventilators - Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting - One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Required certifications: BLS from AHA, ACLS from AHA - RN License in state of employment or compact required - Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire - Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation - Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation - Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers - Temp to perm opportunity available Facility: This healthcare facility operates a mixed cardiac and medical ICU providing critical care services for patients with complex medical conditions.
