Python QA Engineer

Title: Python QA EngineerLocation: 100% Remote (Mexico or Argentina)Position Type: Contract, Contract-to-Hire and FTE availableRole overview: The Python QA Engineer is responsible for validating backend services, data processing, and calculation logic that power the Nexus application. Unlike UI-focused testing, this role emphasizes end-to-end data validation across services, APIs, and databases, ensuring that complex algorithms and backend workflows produce accurate and reliable results.The QA engineer will work closely with developers, product owners, and data/analysis teams to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:Test backend services (e.g., Azure Functions)Validate data flow, calculations, and algorithm outputsPerform API testing (manual + automation)Execute SQL-based data validation across systemsCreate and execute test cases, regression, and defect trackingMaintain Python-based automation and support CI/CD pipelinesMust Have Skills Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking with data / algorithm testing experienceProficient in backend and API testingExtensive Experience with Python automation (writing and maintaining tests)Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or similarStrong SQL and database validation skillsGood to Have Azure DevOps CI/CDC# or TypeScript
