We Welcome You to Join Our Team! Cascade Dafo is currently hiring a full time Maintenance Technician I/II to round out our Maintenance Team. The Maintenance Technician performs preventative maintenance and repairs to our building, equipment, and grounds. The work of the Maintenance Technician is critical to our production processes as they ensure the equipment used throughout our operations runs efficiently and safely. Additionally, this role will design and build many of the electrical and safety controls for our equipment. We find that successful applicants have these skills and abilities: Full working knowledge of hand and power tools Thorough knowledge of general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals Ability to report to and take direction from Maintenance Manager as well as work independently when needed Capable of maintaining a positive working relationship with all co-workers and leadership Must be dedicated to get all assigned projects completed; big or small Ability to comply with company policies and OSHA rules while caring out maintenance functions Ability to work at heights and from ladders Must be physically able to perform repairs as needed Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl Regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds Must be able to communicate in English, written and verbal Our Maintenance Technician’s responsibilities include: Performs routine inspections and maintenance on equipment and building to identify and repair unsafe or malfunctioning conditions Follows a preventative maintenance plan on equipment and building to ensure continuous operations with little downtime Troubleshoots, repairs and performs maintenance on CNC and waterjet machinery Troubleshoots, repairs, and performs maintenance on forklift, straddle truck, and wave lift Reads and understands electrical schematics, troubleshoots electrical problems, rebuilds electric motors, designs and builds electrical controls for new equipment Assembles and installs phone and data cables Troubleshoots pneumatic valves and controls, designs, builds, and installs air delivery and controls for new equipment; rebuilds air tools and cylinders Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains hydraulics pumps, cylinders, valves, and hoses Designs and builds metal fixtures and benches; cuts, welds, and fabricates as necessary Cleans and maintains HVAC systems, including troubleshooting, repairs, and replacement as necessary Executes carpentry and plumbing repairs and installations to facility Programs and troubleshoots PLC applications Supports Cascade’s business, culture, and customer needs Performs other related duties as assigned Please be sure you meet these qualifications before applying: High school diploma or GED required Water Jet maintenance certification or the willingness and ability to become certified Minimum 1 years’ experience in maintenance or related field Welding experience, preferred Electrical experience, required Certified in vocational training, preferred Benefits of working at Cascade Dafo: Competitive Wages: Starting wage for this position is expected to be $23.83-$28.69 per hour, DOE. Full wage scale is $21.25-$39.33 per hour. Profit Sharing: Our team members are awarded quarterly profit-sharing bonuses.
