Quality Control TechnicianThe Quality Control Technician coordinates and performs quality inspections to ensure that products and processes meet established standards before shipment or return-to-stock. This role documents inspection results, communicates findings to internal teams, and supports corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts while following all applicable rules, procedures, and guidelines.ResponsibilitiesPerform detailed quality inspections on products and materials prior to shipment or return-to-stock to ensure they meet established standards and acceptance criteria.Follow written procedures, work instructions, and quality guidelines to complete inspections consistently and accurately.Document inspection results clearly and accurately, including any defects, nonconformances, or deviations from specifications.Communicate quality issues and inspection findings to internal teams in a timely manner to support quick resolution.Coordinate with relevant departments to help drive corrective actions and ensure that identified issues are addressed effectively.Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on recurring issues and suggesting improvements to processes or procedures.Assist with inventory-related quality activities, such as verifying product condition and status before items are returned to stock.Use computer systems and software, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and ERP tools, to record data, track issues, and manage documentation.Handle, move, and lift products and materials, including items over 30 pounds, while following safe work practices.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and quality standards.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience in quality control, inspection, warehouse operations, or a similar role preferred.Demonstrated high attention to detail with the ability to follow written procedures and acceptance criteria accurately.Strong verbal communication skills for clearly reporting quality issues and coordinating resolutions with internal teams.Strong written communication skills for documenting defects, inspection results, and corrective actions.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel for documentation, communication, and data tracking.Preferred experience working in an ERP system, such as JDE, to manage inventory and quality-related information.Ability to lift over 30 pounds safely and perform standing and walking tasks for extended periods as needed.High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment is an advantage.Familiarity with quality assurance principles and basic quality control methodologies.Additional technical training related to quality, inspection, or warehouse operations is a plus.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.Why Work Here?Join an established industry leader with more than four decades of experience delivering wireless voice, data, and video solutions across North America.
