Tax Analyst
CONFIDENTIAL – TAX ANALYST Location: Oakland County, MI (On-Site)OVERVIEW A well-established organization in Oakland County is seeking a Tax Analyst to support its corporate tax function. This role offers strong exposure across federal, state, and local tax matters and is ideal for someone coming out of public accounting or an early-stage corporate tax role looking to grow.POSITION SUMMARY The Tax Analyst will assist with tax compliance, reporting, and research initiatives while supporting ongoing tax operations and process improvements. This individual will work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely filings and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupport preparation of federal, state, and local income tax filingsAssist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculationsPrepare and maintain supporting schedules and workpapersContribute to non-income tax filings (sales & use, property, etc.)Assist with tax research and documentation of findingsSupport responses to audits, notices, and other tax inquiriesCollaborate cross-functionally to gather financial data and ensure accuracyIdentify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiencyQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA required (or actively pursuing with strong progress)Approximately 2+ years of relevant tax experience (public accounting preferred)Exposure to corporate tax, including multi-state or consolidated environmentsExperience with tax software and strong Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple prioritiesPREFERREDBackground in a larger public accounting firmAdvanced degree in Taxation or related fieldExposure to corporate tax provision conceptsWORK ENVIRONMENTFull-time, on-site role in Oakland CountyCollaborative, team-oriented environment with opportunity for growth
