Quality Assurance Inspector - 2nd Shift
The Quality Assurance Technician/Inspector is responsible for performing the required testing and inspection of injection molded specimens and pellet samples for production, sample, experimental and raw material product types.
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
Perform required testing of RTP plastics: Typical testing includes a variety of mechanical properties along with conductivity, flame retardant, ash, moisture, flow, and contamination inspections
Perform injection molding on test specimens, panels, and pucks
Maintain accurate records of all testing performed
Collaborate with QA Manager and to continually work towards the highest quality products
Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods
Maintain departmental housekeeping standards
Other duties as assigned

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment
Excellent attention to detail required
Ability to perform basic mathematical testing calculations
Basic computer skills required
Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures
Must be dependable and have excellent attendance
Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed
Willing and able to work in temperature extremes – hot and cold
Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Education and Experience
High School diploma preferred
Prior related Thermoplastic injection molding and/or plastics mechanical testing experience preferred
Familiarity with RTP products preferred
