Oracle EBS Engineer - OM

Job TitleAnalyzes, designs, develops, tests, documents and implements programs, applications and systems that meet USG business requirements. Coordinates activities that affect availability, reliability, and functionality of delivered products. Reviews work of other development team members. Provides application assistance to business, support, and operations organizations. Collaborates with the business in developing business requirements.This position requires experience working with Order Management, Shipping execution, Inventory, SCM and strong hands-on development experience. Any prior experience working in label printing or archive & Purge is a huge plus.Key Accountabilities And ResponsibilitiesJob Knowledge:Analyzes, designs, and develops new applications/business systems and application enhancements according to business specifications and technical designs; creates technical specifications and documents deliverablesDocuments application requirements and models current/proposed information and process flowsEnsures unit, system, and integration test plans exist, performs quality reviews of testing and coordinates testing across all teamsReviews work of others to ensure design approach and delivered product is consistent with business requirementsEnsures all appropriate technical documentation is completed and up-to-date (program, system, change management, etc.)Assists in re-engineering system related processesFunctions as subject matter expert in those areas where extensive knowledge is presentProficient in, and assists others in using programming aids and tools, utilities, database access methods, and systems softwareAddresses development issues escalated within the teamKeeps abreast of current and emerging information technology and trendsManaging Resources:Assists in the following project efforts: creating project plans with timelines, resolving problems on scheduling, controlling projects, ensuring deadlines are metAssists in overseeing analysis, design, and development of new systems and enhancements according to internal customer expectations and technical designAssists in preparation of cost benefit analysis and estimatesBusiness Focus:May be required to staff disaster recovery siteAssists in determining service level agreements and ensures they are metReviews internal customer materials and training curriculum to ensure content accuracyCollaborates closely with the business to ensure that business needs are well understood and are designed into the provided solutionsCoordinates or leads third level application support effortsMay be required to provide 24 hour on call supportOther:Administration/Organization: May be key contact for day-to-day vendor interfaceCommunication: Communicates with internal customers in terms that the customer is able to understandDecision Making/Problem Resolution: Looks for improvements and recommends/implements innovative solutionsDeveloping Others: Trains and mentors new and/or less experienced team members in development related areasDeveloping Others: May provide input into performance reviews and training objectivesLeadership: May assist in leading design and code reviews, application post-implementation project review meetings, or team meetingsWork Quality: Analyzes, documents, and resolves problems in accordance with department quality standards and proceduresPerforms at a level clearly above that of the related Systems Designer 1 position by demonstrating greater productivity, proficiency, leadership and mastery of job contentPerforms additional responsibilities as assignedNature And ScopeSupervisory role is limited to reviewing work of others, does not conduct performance reviews. Works under minimal supervision, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. Leads small to medium projects; participates in projects of all sizesKey QualificationsEducation: Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fieldYears of Experience: A minimum of 7 years of in-depth applications programming and design experienceRequired Skills: This position requires experience working with Order Management, Shipping execution, Inventory, SCM and strong hands-on development experience. Any prior experience working in label printing or archive & Purge is a huge plus.
