We are looking to hire immediately. THE OPPORTUNITYAssociates play an integral role in the entire lifecycle of private equity investments. They have a key role in investment research and investment strategy development and work within deal teams to evaluate investment opportunities and present recommendations to the investment committee. This work includes rigorous analysis, financial modeling, and collaborating with outside professionals such as strategic partners, investment bankers, consultants, and lawyers to conduct due diligence, prepare investment committee materials, and support deal execution. Following an investment, Associates remain involved with portfolio companies by monitoring performance and supporting management or strategic partners on value-creation initiatives, such as follow-on M&A, financings, and strategic initiatives.WHAT YOU BRINGAn undergraduate degree, distinguished by academic achievement2-5 years of relevant experience in areas such as private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting and corporate development, or equivalent experienceStrong skills in financial modeling, analysis, valuation, and researchSolid business acumen and judgementOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter, organized, strong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyValid work authorization in USAWHO YOU WILL WORK WITHWith C$295 billion of gross assets under management, as of March 31, 2025, BCI is the provider of investment management services for British Columbia’s public sector and one of the largest asset managers in Canada. We secure meaningful governance/board positions which underpin our active role in value creation from deal origination through exit.TOTAL REWARDSBCI offers a competitive total rewards package designed to attract and retain top-tier talent by encompassing a mix of compensation, benefits and, meaningful career development opportunities.Compensation for this position consists of base salary and bonus. The base salary range for this New York-based role is US$147,500 – $175,000. The base salary offered will consider factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set and level of experience applicable to the role.
