Install Technician II - Fiber Internet (Residential)

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Install Technician II to support fiber internet installations for residential customers in the Irvine area. This role involves running fiber optic cables inside homes, performing splicing and testing, and ensuring all installations meet company quality and safety standards.This position is ideal for technicians with strong fiber installation experience, customer-facing skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. ResponsibilitiesInstall fiber internet service inside residential homes, including running fiber optic cables and performing fiber splicingTest fiber connections and ensure proper signal and service functionalityPerform maintenance and troubleshooting on fiber internet equipment as neededFollow company safety protocols and installation procedures at all timesEnsure installations meet quality standards and perform corrections when neededDocument installation and service activities according to company proceduresCommunicate with customers regarding installation schedules and service updatesWork independently in the field while maintaining productivity and professionalism Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3–5 years of installation experience in the telecommunications industryExperience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testingStrong technical understanding of fiber infrastructure and installation processesProven experience delivering clean, efficient, and customer-friendly installationsAbility to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spacesFamiliarity with safety procedures and field work protocolsValid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation What You'll GetCompetitive hourly pay ($26–$28/hr depending on experience)Opportunity to work with fiber internet technology in a growing telecom environmentLong-term project opportunity with potential for contract-to-hireSupportive team and field-based work environment
