CDL-A Truck Driver

Job Description We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to join our team. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who enjoys over-the-road (OTR) driving while maintaining a consistent schedule with home time on weekends. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating a semi tractor/trailer, following dispatch instruction, and ensuring compliance with all DOT and federal driving regulations. No loading or unloading is required for this role. Job SummaryDrive a semi tractor/trailer in an over-the-road (OTR) environment Receive and follow dispatch orders in a timely and professional manner Prepare trip records and complete DOT logs daily Operate within all federal driving and safety guidelines Home on weekends unless willing to stay out longer No unloading or loading of freight required Sit and drive for up to 11 hours per day Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain safe and efficient delivery schedules Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams Experience RequiredMinimum of 1 year of CDL-A driving experience within the last 3 years Prior OTR driving experience preferred Experience operating semi tractor/trailers safely and efficiently Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements Clean driving record preferred Skills and QualificationsMust have a valid Class A CDL Must have a valid existing DOT Physical Strong understanding of federal driving guidelines Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Strong attention to safety and detail Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to maintain accurate trip records and DOT logs Professional communication and customer service skills Location:Bloomington, IN Position Type:Contract Pay:$25.00 / hr - $30.00 / hr About Express Employment Professionals: At Express, we connect great people with great opportunities.
