Welder (Entry Level)
Brief DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONUses TIG welds to assemble fabricated metals in an efficient manner to maximize production. Weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes. Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding of various metals. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.Job DutiesReport to Welding Department LeadProduce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous and consistentFollow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly processMaintain level of output to minimize production delaysCommunicate with all levels of the companyAdhere to company policiesAdhere to safety standardsAttend and participate win all required trainingRecommend improvements to process flowsAdhere to ISO processesMaintain a neat, clean and safe work areaOperate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipmentOther essential duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge of welding processes and equipment. Ability to weld in awkward positions such as vertical, flat and overhead with good penetration and quality appearance. Possess strong math skills. Ability to read schematics and cut lists.
