Lead Integration & Test EngineerOn behalf of our client, a fast-growing hypersonics company, we're hiring a Lead Integration & Test Engineer with 5+ years of experience to own the end-to-end integration and verification of advanced strike vehicles as the company prepares to deliver an early production run to a major government customer. This is an incredibly cross-functional engineering role, and you'll be embedded in the build process from day one, ensuring every subsystem is properly validated before handoff to the customer.You need to be someone with deep systems-level understanding, strong foresight to anticipate integration issues before they arise, and the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and software domains. The ideal candidate comes from a high-complexity, high-stakes environment, think first-build programs, pilot builds, or new product development where engineering standards are non-negotiable. You'll also mentor a junior integration engineer and help build out the I&T function as the company scales production.What You'll DoLead vehicle-level integration activities, ensuring form, fit, and function across all subsystems (propulsion, avionics, structures) as units move through productionDevelop and execute integration and test strategies that catch issues during the build process, acting as the quality gatekeeper before customer deliveryWrite and run test automation scripts (Python, LabVIEW) for environmental testing including vibration, thermal, and vacuum chamber validationDesign integration tooling and fixtures for safe handling and assembly of energetic and complex mechanical systemsMentor a junior integration and test engineer and build out the I&T team to support production scale-up across multiple facilitiesWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience in systems integration and test, ideally from a high-complexity, first-build, or pilot-production programStrong systems-level understanding across mechanical, electrical, and software domainsExperience with test automation scripting (Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB)Experience with environmental testing (vibration, thermal, vacuum chamber validation) and data acquisition systemsExperience designing integration tooling and fixtures for complex mechanical systemsComfortable working around hazardous or energetic materials in a safety-critical environmentExperience mentoring junior engineersRole DetailsSalary: $175K–$200KLocation: Torrance, CA or Rio Rancho, NM (5 days on-site)Full-timeCompetitive equityNot open to visa sponsorship (US citizens and Green Card holders only)Hiring 1 candidate for this role
