Brake Press Operator

** SIGN ON BONUS AND RETENTION BONUS **This position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of the laser cutting machine. This position will also assist other CNC operators with any of their daily duties including area housekeeping, maintenance work, and material staging. May be required to serve as backup for other positions as directed.Experience / Qualifications:• 2+ years set-up and operating experience• Previous metal fabrication background• Dimensional measuring and shop math competence• Basic computer skills• Capable of using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools• Ability to read and understand blueprints• Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with co-workers and supervisor• Maintain excellent attendance record• Flexible to work overtime if needed• 2+ years manufacturing experienceDuties and Responsibilities of the Job:Responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Set-up and operate fabrication equipment• Select, load, and install correct tooling• Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces• Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products that exceed customer's expectations• Stage completed product on skids• Work from work orders, verbal and written instruction, routing, samples, blueprints• Maintain good housekeeping in work area• Act responsibly to follow safe operating practicesMinimum Requirements of Employer:High School Diploma/GED Equivalent RequiredNo Licenses or Certifications RequiredRequired Protective Clothing/DevicesSafety glasses/gogglesSafety shoesGlovesSalary Description
