Corporate Tax Manager (The Colony)

S+H Search is partnering with a well-capitalized, family-owned holding company in The Colony, TX on a key addition to their corporate tax team. This organization oversees a diverse portfolio of operating businesses and real estate investments and is continuing to grow both organically and through acquisition.This is a high-visibility role working directly with senior leadership and ownership, offering the opportunity to own and shape the internal tax function.What You'll Do:Lead federal and multi-state income tax compliance across a complex, multi-entity structureSupport trust, estate, and high-net-worth tax matters tied to ownershipPartner on tax strategy related to real estate investments and entity structuringCollaborate with external advisors while maintaining strong internal ownership of tax processesAssist with indirect tax areas (sales & use, property tax) as neededIdentify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall tax efficiencyWhat They're Looking For:CPA (highly preferred)5–10+ years of tax experience (public accounting or blended public/private preferred)Strong background in income tax + multi-entity structuresExposure to trusts, estates, and/or real estate tax is highly valuedSomeone who wants to take ownership, think strategically, and operate as a trusted advisorWhy This Role Stands Out:Direct exposure to ownership and executive leadershipBroad, complex portfolio—no two days look the sameOpportunity to build and influence rather than inheritStable, debt-free organization with strong growth trajectory
