Openstack Developer
Overview
In this role you drive and maintain NFV-oriented platforms, focusing on OpenStack and related CMP technologies. You will work within a telecom-oriented IT team to deploy and integrate OpenStack, OpenDaylight, and service chaining capabilities, shaping how networks are delivered in practice. You’ll tackle practical SFC implementations, platform integrations, and RESTful service patterns to support scalable, vendor-agnostic networking solutions. This is a hands-on, mid-senior opportunity for someone who blends cloud, NFV, and network experience to deliver concrete outcomes. You will collaborate across teams to implement resilient, standards-based networking in a carrier-grade environment.
ResponsibilitiesImplement and maintain OpenStack, CMP platforms, and OpenDaylightConfigure and integrate OpenStack networking (neutron) via GRE and VXLANDevelop and demonstrate Service Function Chaining (SFC) with ODL integrationExplore SFC mechanisms (NSH, VLAN) and use of VNFSupport RESTful web services and SOA-based integrations
Key requirementsAt least 7 years of IT experienceBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent (or 3 years progressive experience in lieu of every year of education)Experience with OpenStack, ODL, and networking in telecom contextsExposure to NFV products and vendor-specific VNFsStrong scripting in Python (advantage) and understanding of cloud computingKnowledge of RESTful web services, data virtualization, and SOA; Camel and Fuse experience (advantage)Experience with Red Hat products and enterprise design patternsExperience with Spring, Hibernate, and JPA (4+ years)US work authorization (no sponsorship)Analytical thinkingProblem-solvingCross-functional collaborationOpenStackOpenDaylight (ODL)Neutron networking (GRE, VXLAN)
