Title: Network Security EngineerDuration: Fulltime Location: Houston, TX (3 days onsite a week)ResponsibilitiesGather network security requirementsConfigure/implement/upgrade Palo Alto/CheckPoint firewalls and VPNConfigure Palo Alto/CheckPoint firewall policiesOptimize firewall rulesConfigure dynamic protocols, to include RIP, OSPF, and BGPAssist in implementing Guardicore Micro-segmentation zero trustRequirements2+ years of experience configuring CheckPoint or Palo Alto firewallsSolid networking fundamentals (understands TCP/IP, how traffic flows)Experience gathering security requirements and designing network securityExperience defining and configuring firewall policiesExperience optimizing firewall rulesExperience configuring dynamic protocols RIP, OSPF, and BGPExcellent understanding of security architecture and integrationStrong communication and stakeholder engagementProficient in Visio diagramming and design documentationGood documentation skills policy decisions, application flow maps, exceptions, etc.
