Solder Assembler

You play a hands-on role in building high-reliability cable and connector solutions used in demanding applications. As aSolder Assembler , you ensure that every connector, splice, and socket meets strict workmanship and quality standards before entering the molding process. Your attention to detail directly supports Teledyne's reputation for precision, safety, and long-term product performance. You'll work alongside experienced assemblers in a manufacturing environment that values consistency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
What you'll doPerform fine hand soldering of connectors, splices, sockets, and cable assemblies using magnificationBuild assemblies by following production drawings, work instructions, and bills of materialApply accepted workmanship standards across electro-mechanical assembliesUse hand and power tools to fit, assemble, and prepare componentsInspect assemblies and perform basic in-process testing to verify qualityTrim or adjust materials to meet required electrical and dimensional specificationsHandle any flammable and hazardous materials safely and in compliance with safety requirementsFollow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipmentSupport cross-training across different assembly processes as neededWhat you needStrong manual dexterity and attention to detail for small-part soldering -requiredAbility to read and follow detailed drawings and written/verbal instructions -requiredPrior hand soldering experience; wire and cable soldering -preferred2+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment -requiredJ-STD-001 certification (current or prior)requiredIPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (current or prior) -preferredHigh School diploma or GED -requiredAbility to work the core schedule of 6:00am-2:45pm, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed -requiredEnglish language proficiency for safety, quality documentation, and communication -requiredWhat we offerStandard Teledyne benefits , including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company matching, paid vacation, paid sick, and paid holidaysStable day-shift schedule with overtime opportunitiesA clean, safety-focused manufacturing environmentSkill development through cross-training and exposure to multiple assembly typesThe opportunity to work for a global technology leader with a strong quality cultureWhat happens next
