What You'll DoDevelop and maintain a broad portfolio of software projectsBuild, refine, and support API endpoints and integrations to backend systems to enable automation for complex workflowsTroubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems in collaboration with team membersDevelop and refactor scripts and other codeCoordinate small project teams or initiatives such as new service rollouts or major system upgradesWork with vendors to prioritize efforts and enhance technologies to meet user needsDeploy services using container cloud platforms based on KubernetesCollaborate across teams to develop APIs and services integrated into high-performance computing and data center environmentsPresent developments to staff and the broader HPC community at conferences and industry meetingsWhat We're Looking For (Level 3)8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 6+ years with a Master's degree; or equivalent2+ years of experience with API and web services software development on Linux systems in an HPC, cloud, or hyper-scale environmentFamiliarity with designing and building API interfaces to compute, storage, or other backend systemsExperience with some or all of the following:C, Shell, and Python programming languagesGit, runners, and complex CI/CD pipelinesAI or machine learning tools and servicesDatabase administration (MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL)Container technology (Docker or Kubernetes)Strong understanding of software engineering best practices for performance and securityExcellent communication skills and a collaborative, creative work style(Level 4) — Additional Requirements12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 8+ years with a Master's degreeExperience with OpenAPI and other API frameworksExperience managing Linux systems and deploying/managing virtualization or container technologiesAbility to lead and coordinate projects and exercise independent judgmentExperience analyzing and resolving complex, unique technical issuesPowered by JazzHR
