Business Analyst

Employment Type: 6 month contract to hireWork Environment: Onsite in Venice, FLSchedule: Standard business hoursOther Notes: Role supports high-visibility projects with direct impact on operational efficiencyPreferred BackgroundFinancial industry or financial systems experience is strongly preferredKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Subject Matter Experts to gather, clarify, and document business requirements, translating them into clear user stories.Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements using workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and entity relationship models.Break complex requirements into independent, actionable user stories and participate in review sessions with stakeholders.Create wireframes, functional documentation, and requirement definition materials.Support backlog grooming, assist with front-line requirement clarification, and ensure appropriate sign-offs on project artifacts.Participate in Functional Specification reviews and User Acceptance Testing to ensure solutions meet business needs.Prepare and maintain release notes and ensure documentation accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.Technical SkillsExperience reading and writing SQL queries preferred.Experience with system or data analysis (preferred).Experience with web-based and mobile applications is a plus.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related discipline.4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within a software development environment.4+ years of experience working with SDLC and Agile methodologies.Demonstrated ability to analyze and document complex business processes.Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and persuasively.Exceptional organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills with the ability to work independently under pressure.Ability to interpret data, manage multiple tasks, and remain composed in fast-paced situations.Highly motivated, quick learner, and strong team collaborator.
