Ophthalmic Medical Scribe

Job Description Ophthalmic Assistant / Scribe duties includeComplete appropriate patient intake assessment, including various vision and ancillary tests,Accurately and completely document patient care in the EMR, including scribing for doctors, and appropriate superbill charging and coding.Monitor and facilitate patient flow in the clinic, working collaboratively with other clinical and front office staff.Answer patient questions, address concerns, follow up on questions, and/or refer patient questions to providers as appropriate.Certifications preferred: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Scribe (OSC.) For uncertified candidates, progression to certification will be the goal. Experience with EMR preferred.
