JOB DESCRIPTIONCV Resources, in partnership with our apparel client, is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join a large, fast-paced accounting team for a well-established retail and apparel company in Commerce, CA. This is an onsite, temp to hire opportunity supporting a high-volume Accounts Payable operation.This role is ideal for:Experienced AP professionals who thrive in high volume environments, orRecent accounting graduates who are looking to gain hands on experience and grow within a structured accounting organization.RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANTAccounts Payable ProcessingProcess 100–150 invoices per week with accuracy and efficiency.Perform 3-way matching (purchase order, invoice, and receipt).Code invoices and ensure proper approvals.Work within a manual AP environment while new systems and improvements are being implemented.Utilize Excel and internal accounting systems for tracking and reconciliation.Collaboration & CommunicationCommunicate with internal departments and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies.Partner closely with accounting leadership and AP team members.Maintain organized records and documentation.Projects & Process ImprovementAssist with Accounts Payable process improvement initiatives.Support special accounting projects as needed by management. REQUIREMENTS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANTRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, OR3+ years of Accounts Payable experienceExperience processing high volume invoices (100+ per week)Strong understanding of 3-way matchingComfortable working in a fast paced, onsite environmentStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferredGPA B+ or higher (for recent graduates)Prior experience in AP, accounting, or bookkeepingSKILLS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ACCOUNTANTRequiredExperience with Coupa, SAP, or similar ERP systemsIntermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)If you are interested in hearing further about this role, then please send your resume in MS Word format to mark@cvrstaffing.com.
