Press Brake Set Up (Machine Operator)To set and run jobs in the fabrication department. This position will be work Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (32 - 40 hour weeks). QualificationsQualifications: Education: High School Diploma Experience: Minimum of four years fabrication experience Skills/Abilities: Must be able to set up and operate a wide variety of equipment Reading blueprints/schematics Ability to use squares, tape measures and calipers for quality checks. Positive can-do attitude Quality control on finished products in an ISO environment Supervise and inspect operators work. Essential Results: Working knowledge of press-brakes including Cincinnati, Trumpf, Ras, knowledge of tooling for each machine Working knowledge of tapping, timesaver, punch press, drilling, and Pem insertion is essential for this job. Working knowledge of Haas, Mazak and threading machines Read and interpret shop orders, including drawings, routings, and set-up sheets Verify correct raw material or work in progress material Able to bend stainless steel, mild steel and aluminum Able to determine proper tooling to make progressive bends Able to determine tonnage, k-factors for all bends Bend or joggle to the specified dimension Responsible for maintaining quality and documenting all in process specifications Responsible for filling out paperwork and time clock reporting associated with work performed Perform job duties in a safe and effective manner Report machine problems such as air or oil leaks to lead man or supervisor Producing prototypes and necessary inspection forms in a timely manner. Proper stacking and care of parts thru fabrication. Knowledge of 2, 4 and 6 axis back gauging. Ability to request tooling when needed. Clear communication with quality, engineering and product development when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Working Condition: Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed. Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8+ hour shift(s) Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 lbs. on a given day without assistance and 31-70 lbs. with assistance. Must be able to push, pull material and equipment as needed. Must be able to wear required safety equipment including gloves and glasses.
