Scrum Master – Job DescriptionOverviewThe Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating Agile practices within a team, ensuring that Scrum principles are followed, and helping the team deliver high-quality products efficiently. They act as a servant leader, removing obstacles and fostering a collaborative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate Scrum ceremonies:Daily stand-upsSprint planningSprint reviewsRetrospectivesGuide the team on Agile/Scrum best practices and principlesRemove impediments that hinder team progressSupport the Product Owner in backlog management and prioritizationFoster a culture of continuous improvement and accountabilityCoach team members on self-organization and cross-functionalityTrack and communicate team progress using Agile metrics (velocity, burndown charts, etc.)Ensure transparency of work and progress to stakeholdersProtect the team from external disruptions and scope creepRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitatorStrong knowledge of Scrum framework and Agile methodologiesScrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferredExcellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skillsProblem-solving and conflict-resolution abilitiesFamiliarity with Agile tools (Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, etc.)Preferred QualificationsExperience working with cross-functional or distributed teamsKnowledge of other Agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, Lean)Technical background or understanding of software developmentKey CompetenciesServant leadershipCoaching and mentoringAdaptability and flexibilityStrong organizational skillsCollaboration and team buildingTypical DeliverablesSprint plans and reportsRetrospective insights and action itemsAgile metrics and performance dashboardsImproved team productivity and delivery consistency
