Apply via Dice today!Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Python & Palantir)Location: Spring, TX (Onsite)Job Type: Long Term ContractJob Description:We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Python and Palantir Foundry to support the CCS100 Fusion Team in building scalable data solutions for carbon capture systems on the US Gulf Coast.Job Overview:Work on building and optimizing data layers using Palantir Foundry for a large-scale carbon capture platformConvert existing data models into Palantir Ontology representationsAct as a Palantir SME for the team and contribute to architecture and design decisionsKey Responsibilities:Quickly understand current CCS100 data architecture and convert it into Palantir OntologySuggest improvements to data models for performance, scalability, and flexibilityBuild and manage data ingestion and export pipelines between Ontology and external systemsImplement data transformations and validations using Foundry capabilitiesDevelop interface code and examples to enable integration with Ontology dataRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience)Strong experience in building data-heavy applications and working as a Data EngineerHands-on experience with Palantir Foundry focusing on data modeling and Ontology ManagerStrong Python programming skills for data processing and transformationAbility to understand complex data models and software architectures quicklyStrong analytical, communication, and collaboration skillsExperience working in Agile environmentsTop 3 Required Skills:Strong Data Engineering skills with experience building complex data applicationsPalantir Foundry with focus on Ontology Manager and data modelingPython programmingPreferred Qualifications:Experience with additional Palantir Foundry tools such as Workshop and QuiverOil & Gas industry experience
