Network Engineer - Project LeadLocation: Columbia, SC (Onsite/Local)Job Type: 12+ Month Renewable Contract (Full-Time W2 Only; No C2C/Sponsorship)Client: DataSoft TechnologiesRole OverviewLead the monitoring, support, and optimization of a statewide site-to-site network infrastructure. You will design implementation/test plans for Cisco and Meraki technologies, execute software upgrades, resolve remote IT issues, and maintain high performance, security, and scalability across enterprise systems.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport statewide site-to-site VPN tunnels, enterprise routers, switches, and Cisco firewalls.Plan and deploy Cisco/Meraki enterprise solutions; analyze system logs and SIEM data for network health.Manage software upgrades, troubleshooting, and IT service desk ticketing documentation.Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to align network capabilities with system requirements.Required Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 4–6 years specializing in Cisco enterprise environments (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, Hardware Admin).Tools: Cisco FMC, ASDM, Cisco ISE, CSM, Wireshark, Putty, PowerShell, nMap, SIEM.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a quantitative field (or equivalent hands-on experience).Other Requirements: Valid Driver’s License; strong oral and written communication skills.Preferred QualificationsPublic Sector / Government network experience.Certifications: CCNP Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, MCSE.
