Electrical Engineering Technician
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Electrical Engineering Technician to support our engineering team with data collection, diagnostics, and testing of electrical systems in vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for using CAN communication interfaces, conducting in-vehicle tests, and coordinating with various teams to ensure smooth product introduction and repair fixes.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect data from vehicles using the CAN communication interface to monitor and assess system performance.
Filter and extract data messages necessary for diagnostics and assist in placing gears into Running Mode.
Support in-vehicle tests during the Hang-Off of Full Install process for new product introductions and new repair fixes.
Coordinate with the lab at the plant, car lots, and mechanic shops to ensure the availability of vehicles and manage testing schedules.
Perform on-car test procedures to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of electrical systems.
Generate detailed test reports, documenting results and highlighting any issues found during testing.
Conduct diagnostics using vehicle scanners and other diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Qualifications:
Experience in automotive or electrical engineering environments.
Proficiency with CAN communication interfaces and diagnostic tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to generate accurate reports.
Excellent communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues effectively.
