Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.SummaryThe Lead Electronics Technician is an integral part of our production team; they are responsible for manufacturing and assembly of electronic components by the engineering and production documentation, ensuring that all work and components meet rigorous quality standards. The Lead Electronics Technician is essential in supporting the Electronics Supervisor with training and executing the production plan. A successful Lead Electronics Technician has keen attention to detail and supports others in the shop and throughout the company, both technically and as teammates.ResponsibilitiesThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.Maintain and improve shop safety requirements and other relevant policiesManufacturing and assembly of Electronics part or componentsPerform functional and mechanical check outs as necessary Complete production documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness Provide training, onboarding, technical oversight, and guidance to other team membersProvide team feedback to Supervisor to ensure smooth operations and optimal team utilizationSupport reporting on production status and communicating obstacles with production managementSupport Engineering and Test development as needed Support improvement of processes and procedures Communicate, discuss, and listen to challenges with management, teammates, etc. Support problem solving activities for technical issuesCommunicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations Assumes all other responsibilities as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GEDExperience in electronics, assembly, manufacturing, engineering environment, or similar experienceAbility to read and follow schematics, drawings, procedures, etc. Computer (Windows PC) competency in word processing and spreadsheets High attention to detail Ability to solve technical problemsAble to work together on a team The ability to follow verbal and written procedures, good communication skills Willingness to learn, ask questions, and listen to others Safety and quality mindedRedwire Defense Tech BenefitsMatching 401(k)Paid PTOPaid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insuranceGroup Short-Term & Long-Term DisabilityHSA and FSA OptionsCritical Care PlanAccident Care PlanClearance RequirementsThis position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment.
