Senior Network Engineer (VA)Job Location: Warrenton, VA – Hybrid RemoteJob Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $110,000 – $150,000JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer to support and maintain our network infrastructure. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with a strong networking foundation, hands-on Cisco experience, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of professional networking experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a desire to grow technically.Must have an active U.S. Security Clearance (required). If you do not possess an active U.S. Security Clearance, we will not respond to your application.RESPONSIBILITIESSupport, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructureAdminister, configure, and maintain Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching platformsConfigure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco ASA and Cisco Secure Firewall platformsDiagnose and resolve network and server related incidents and service requestsSupport TCP/IP-based networking, including routing, switching, VLANs, and subnettingAssist with multicast routing configuration and troubleshootingCollaborate with systems and security teams on network related initiativesSupport VMware vCenter virtualized environmentAssist with Microsoft Active Directory user and group account creation, DNS, etc.Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating proceduresAssist with troubleshooting Linux based network related issuesWillingness to travel (Not required)QUALIFICATIONSExperience with:Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching platformsCisco routersCisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) firewallsCisco Secure Firewall platformsCisco Firewall Management Center (FMC)Strong understanding of:TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, routing, and switching fundamentalsNetwork troubleshooting methodologiesDNS, DHCP, and basic network servicesFamiliarity with:Multicast routing conceptsVMware vCenter and virtual networkingMicrosoft Server and Active Directory fundamentalsLinux distributions, including Red Hat and Ubuntu7-10 years of professional network engineering or network operations experienceHIGHLY DESIREDExperience with network monitoring, alerting, and logging toolsBasic understanding of network security principles and best practicesExposure to Ansible or infrastructure automation toolsScripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)CERTIFICATIONSRequired:CompTIA Security+Preferred:Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP or in progress)CompTIA Network+VMware, Linux, or Microsoft certifications (Not required)WORKPLACE SKILLSAbility to work independently while contributing within a teamStrong analytical and troubleshooting skillsClear verbal and written communicationComfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentEagerness to learn new technologies and grow technical expertiseDependable, organized, and detail-orientedAbout the CompanyBCubed Engineering Corporation, an Auria company, is an advanced software and engineering company with offices in Warrenton, VA and Tampa, FL.
