This role oversees inventory control and warehouse operations to keep production running smoothly.This position plays a critical role in balancing cost, quality, and delivery while working closely with production, engineering, and customer teams in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.Essential Job Duties/FunctionsInventory ManagementMaintain optimal inventory levels, balancing availability with carrying costsOversee cycle counting, physical inventory, and inventory accuracy initiativesAnalyze inventory trends, including excess, obsolete, and slow-moving materialsImplement strategies to reduce waste and improve inventory turnsWarehouse & Logistics OversightManage receiving, storage, and material movement processesEnsure materials are properly handled, stored, and issued to productionOversee shipping and logistics coordination as neededEnsure compliance with safety and regulatory requirementsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with production, engineering, and quality teams to support build readinessParticipate in production meetings to align on priorities and constraintsCommunicate material risks, shortages, and recovery plans clearly to stakeholdersProcess ImprovementIdentify and implement improvements in material flow, planning accuracy, and efficiencySupport ERP/MRP system optimization and data integrityDevelop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery and inventory accuracyLeadershipLead, coach, and develop team membersSet clear expectations and hold team accountable for performanceFoster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvementMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience10+ years of experience in materials management, supply chain, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment5+ years of leadership or supervisory experienceStrong experience with ERP/MRP systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience in electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or similar high-mix, low-to-medium volume environmentAPICS/CPIM or CSCP certificationFamiliarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologiesWORKING CONDITIONSTypical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to sit, stand, and walk for extended periodsOccasional lifting of materials up to 40 pounds, as neededPre-Employment RequirementsAll offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
