Accountant/Bookkeeper

CV Resources is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant or Bookkeeper with strong verbal, written, and organizational skills for a growing organization in NE Portland! The ideal candidate has intermediate Excel skills and a solid understanding of general ledger entries and their functionality, as well as an exceptional customer service aptitude. The Accountant will evaluate financial operations to ensure assigned client accounts operate smoothly, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with GAAP.This is a full-time onsite position with exceptional benefits including 100% paid M/D/V and world-class retirement options.Essential Job Functions:Maintain accurate accounting records, including general ledger entriesPrepare financial statements and supporting financial schedulesReconcile bank and investment accountsResearch transactions and handle complex calculationsPrepare ad hoc reports as neededCommunicate effectively with the Executive team and membership service team, requiring strong presentation and relationship-building skillsKey Responsibilities:Reconcile checking and investment accountsManage Accounts Payable and Accounts ReceivableCommunicate with Clients, Legal Counsel, Auditors, and Consultants, both verbally and in writingPerform data entry, organization, filing, etc.Monitor the cash flow of assigned accountsCollaborate with other departments to fulfill reporting requirementsServe as a liaison with external auditors, maintaining organized files and records for annual auditsHandle required tax filingsConduct ad-hoc research and analysis as neededMinimum Qualifications:Associates or Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a similar field preferred.
