Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Elmhurst, New York. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy of payroll processing, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and the ability to adapt to various accounting tasks.Responsibilities:- Process biweekly payroll using Paychex for approximately 115 employees, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.- Manage accounts payable operations, including reviewing invoices and maintaining accurate payment records.- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to verify and align all financial transactions.- Support accounts receivable functions by monitoring incoming payments and addressing discrepancies.- Collaborate on special financial projects as needed to meet organizational goals.- Utilize Yardi to oversee financial data and maintain system integrity.- Provide assistance with general bookkeeping tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to support audits and reporting requirements.- Offer insights and recommendations to improve financial processes and efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.- Proficiency in using Paychex for payroll processing.- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.- Expertise in bank reconciliations with attention to detail.- Familiarity with Yardi or similar financial software.- Ability to handle payroll for employee groups ranging from 101 to 500 individuals.- Effective communication and organizational skills.- High level of accuracy and reliability in managing financial data.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
