You will recommend security practices to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. You will process, review, and analyze adverse information received on personnel from various sources. You will develop, direct, and monitors command policies and procedures for access to restricted, limited, or controlled areas. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. You will be required to travel to infrequent overnight travel attend conferences, meetings, and trainings. You must be immunized on an annual basis against Influenza. Qualifications GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience understanding of a wide range of principles, concepts and methodologies with security administration field, the Department of the Navy and Department of Defense security directives. Experience with procedures and regulations for preparing, reviewing and evaluating all security investigative reports and investigations for the purpose of recommending the granting or denying of clearances and/or downgrading, removing/revoking clearances in cases where access is denied. Experience with security control systems, their operation and programming, to include appropriate protective measures for the equipment, and its ability to adequately protect personnel, equipment, facilities and information. GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience working independently, but within the framework of established practices and prescribed procedures. Experience performing more complicated assignments under close supervision of the supervisor. Experience receiving instructions on what to do, the methods to use, what to look for, and what to bring to the attention of the supervisor. Experience following detailed and specific instructions for developmental tasks involving the use of unfamiliar formats, methods, and procedures. Experience referring problems not covered by the supervisor's instructions or guides to the supervisor for help or a decision.
