Plastics Process Technician, 2nd Shift

Alphapointe offers a great working environment that's both challenging and satisfying as well as an array of benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, short and long term disability, PTO, paid holidays and flexible spending options as well as a generous 401(k).Job Summary: Responsible for increasing molding output and efficiencies by troubleshooting issues and developing new processes.Essential Functions:Functional knowledge of injection and blow molding machinesProvide technical support to manufacturing for capability issues, technical improvements, and daily processing activities.Operate auxiliary equipment to support molding operation such as mold temperature control units, grinders, robots, and pickers.Do daily/weekly PMs as assignedParticipate on teams to help achieve operational goalsDrive molding process improvements to include cycle time efficiencies, cavitation, scrap reduction, and establishment of optimal processing parameters.Support process improvement, reduction of downtime, cost reduction, and corrective actionAssist in the set-up, repair, and troubleshooting of molding equipment.Familiar with GMP and ISO guidelinesEstablish the parameters for an optimal molding environmentEnsure the environment meets all safety requirementsOperate hot/cold runner moldsAdditional Functions:* Assist in physical inventoriesKnowledge and Skill Requirements:Must have good work and attendance recordExperience with the installation and setup of tools into molding machinesAbility to problem solve machine systems and auxiliary equipmentRequired minimum 2 years experience in plastics molding industry.Ability to work in a loud, manufacturing environmentMust be able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessaryWorking Conditions:* Schedule 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday* Salary Range - $25.00-$27.00/hour + 5% Shift DifferentialAlphapointe is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
