We bring passion and drive to carry out our mission of protecting our state's public health and natural resources.YOUR FUTURE TEAMAs part of TCEQ Compliance and Enforcement, you would help ensure that those we regulate comply with the state's environmental laws.HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGAnswer telephones, distribute calls, and forward messages to appropriate staff; assist walk-in customers; provide basic customer service; and maintain documents in the public reading/access area.Distribute incoming mail, reports and enforcement documents, mail letter and prepare items for shipment: scan, copy and upload investigations report and documents into Web Center Content (WCC).Develop, coordinate, and maintain databases, files, and records; track information; prepare queries and reports, including Public Information Requests.Maintain vehicle fleet and other duties as assigned by supervisor.Conduct and maintain equipment inventory; participate in inventory audits; perform cashier duties; prepare and make bank deposits.Track and pay invoices for contracted servicesKEY QUALIFICATIONSExperience working in an office environment, answering phones, faxing, filing, etc.Experience working with, or training in, word processing and/or spreadsheet software.Experience with purchasing equipment/suppliesExperience in coordinating travelREQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEGraduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus one year of full-time experience providing administrative and/or clerical support in an office setting.
