JOB SUMMARYAs an Audit Manager, you will be a key leader responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of audit engagements. Your extensive experience in audit and assurance, combined with your leadership skills, will drive the firm's commitment to delivering exceptional client service, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering team growth.JOB DESCRIPTIONEngagement LeadershipLead and manage a team of audit professionals, including senior and staff members, in planning, executing, and concluding audit engagementsEnsure adherence to engagement timelines, budgets, and firm standardsClient Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for audit engagementsProvide strategic insights and recommendations to clients for improving financial processes, controls, and reportingAudit Planning and StrategyCollaborate with partners and directors to develop comprehensive audit strategies and plans that address client-specific risks and objectivesOversee the allocation of resources, assignment of roles, and development of audit programsAudit Execution, Review, Technical ExpertiseConduct complex audit procedures, review workpapers, and assess audit findings to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements and disclosuresMonitor the progress of audit engagements, providing guidance to resolve challenges and meet milestonesStay abreast of evolving accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends, and apply this knowledge to engagementProvide expert guidance to the team on complex accounting and auditing issuesTeam Development and MentorshipCoach, mentor, and develop audit staff and senior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growthConduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for skill developmentQuality Control and AssuranceEnsure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of audit documentation, reports, and conclusions with firm standards and regulationsImplement best practices and methodologies to enhance the quality of audit engagementsBusiness DevelopmentIdentify opportunities to expand the firm's client base and service offeringsContribute to business development activities, including client proposals, presentations, and networkingSupervisory responsibilitiesWill supervise subordinate team membersWork environmentWork is conducted in a professional office environment with minimal distractionsPhysical demandsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and performing work in front of a computer screen for long periods of timeMust be able to lift to 15 pounds at a timeTravel requiredTravel may be frequent and unpredictable, depending on client's needsRequired education and experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field5 - 8 years of relevant experience5+ years of relevant audit experience within a CPA firm, with progressive leadership responsibilitiesCPA license is required; equivalent certifications are required for IT auditResponsible for completing the minimum CPE credit requirementSpecific positions may require additional industry or specialization certificationsPreferred education and experienceExperience in professional service environment, such as a CPA firm, financial consulting firm, or similar settingOther dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the colleague for this job.
