CNC Machining Programmer

About the Role As a CNC Machining Programmer, you will drive manufacturing excellence by translating complex engineering designs into high-precision machine code. You will play a vital role in optimizing production workflows, ensuring that every component meets rigorous quality standards through advanced technical expertise and innovative programming strategies. Responsibilities Design and refine efficient CNC programs to maximize throughput and maintain tight tolerances. Translate intricate blueprints and technical specifications into actionable machining instructions. Execute machine setups and calibration to ensure seamless production cycles. Analyze machining performance to identify opportunities for process improvement and waste reduction. Proactively resolve technical challenges and programming errors to minimize downtime. Document programming logic and setup configurations to maintain operational consistency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine design-for-manufacturability (DFM) standards. Evaluate emerging machining technologies to maintain a competitive edge in production capabilities. Qualifications Required Skills Demonstrated experience in CNC programming and machine operation. Advanced proficiency in G-code, M-code, and modern CAM software like Mastercam. Strong command of GD&T and precision measurement tools including calipers and micrometers. Expertise in interpreting technical drawings and 3D models within CAD environments. Solid understanding of CNC tooling, machine setups, and multi-axis mill/lathe operations. Preferred Skills Technical degree or specialized certification in CNC programming or manufacturing technology. Experience with high-precision environments such as aerospace manufacturing. Proficiency in 3D modeling software like Solidworks. Proven ability to manage complex setups on 5-axis horizontal or vertical machining centers.
