Overview
The Admin Assistant provides administrative support for the Department of the Navy Office of Administration (DON OA) – Information Technology Division (ITD).
Responsibilities
Manages calendars, coordinates meeting logistics – including room scheduling, invites, and VTC connections – and assists with travel arrangements using the Defense Travel System (DTS).
Maintains office supplies, proofread and correct program and acquisition documentation, and prepare minutes for events.
Uses common office equipment, e.g., facsimile (fax) machines, copiers, projectors, and PC printers. Performs high quality project support.
Maintains logs, records, archives and/or working files.
Consolidates and finalizes presentations, staff charts, weekly activity reports, etc.
Reports and records meeting minutes.
Qualifications
Required
Minimum 3 years experience and/or AS/AA or 2yr Tech School; or HS/GED w/ 10 years or military experience E3 and up
Ability to work with government-provided software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook and PowerPoint)
