Production Supervisor

East Peoria, IL - Salary Range 67-101kJob BriefWe are looking for an experienced Section Manager (Production Supervisor) that can leverage their skills and experience to support our rapid growth and team expansion. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing & optimizing existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency using lean manufacturing methods.You will be required to interpret engineering drawing packages and sales write-ups to assemble and test products in accordance with customer and quality requirements, including UL. You will assist the directing manager to plan necessary manpower and equipment to complete production and testing functions efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with production schedules.ResponsibilitiesManage and conduct a safe workspace within teamPerform daily production meetings with team including safety, quality, velocity, & costInterpret design details to generate manufacturing shop work instructions and standard of workTrain experienced and new personnelPerform counseling, coaching, hiring, and disciplinary actions as requiredProvide manufacturing and technical supportManage production team to weekly and daily objectivesProvide production and operational status to internal customersProvide product and assembly support between production and engineeringCollaborate with Engineering and Leadership regarding design enhancementsIdentify and implement improvements to manufacturing and testing processes and equipmentLead lean process improvement projectsMaintain and assist in the development of process measures and KPIsIdentify, develop, and conduct training for Operations teamConduct and Lead safety projectsSupport manufacturing engineering and safety in the development of PFMEA and SFMEA'sEnsure products developed in value stream meet or exceed quality and workmanship standardsRequirementsBachelors degree in Engineering or like degree5+ years experience in manufacturing and/or supervisionLean engineering and the use of Lean ToolsHighly qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineeringHighly qualified candidates will have experience in leading production teamsExcellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and PowerPointExperience in designing shop tooling utilizing AutoCAD or Solid Modeling softwareHighly qualified individuals will have experience with electrical systemsExperience using test/inspection equipmentAbility to read & interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
