Container Driver Manager

At Wright Transportation, supporting our drivers is our #1 priority. We are looking for a Container Driver Manager to manage the daily driver activity of our import/export container business. Key Responsibilities Direct the daily activities of drivers to and from our facility, customer locations, and APM Terminal in accordance with company policies, procedures, and business objectives. Utilize McLeod, which is our operating software, to assign and dispatch work to drivers. Schedule port and customer appointments with drivers and customers. Provide drivers with guidance on complying with any applicable local, state and federal statutes regulating the trucking industry. Ensure that drivers are safe, productive, and deliver on time to our customers. Communicate with our maintenance team and drivers regarding any equipment issues. Assist drivers with keeping important documents up to date such as driver’s license / TWIC renewal, random drug tests and physicals. Qualifications Must be a team player Excellent communication skills 2-3 Years experience in the Logistics, Supply Chain, and/or Transportation industry is a plus. Efficient in Microsoft Office Transportation Management Software knowledge a plus Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
